Display Recent Tweets across your Storefront
The Twitter Box Module for OpenCart is designed to allow for store owners to display a list of their most recent tweets on the homepage, or any other store page, utilizing the Content Layout (Top, Bottom, Left, Right) positions provided within OpenCart. Using a custom built modular system, this module does not modify any of the core OpenCart file structure, maintaining the ability to upgrade OpenCart as needed.
Once installed, the Twitter Box Module for OpenCart will provide an administrative interface to customize options such as the number of Tweets to be displayed, whether to include a link to the user’s profile, whether to show the timestamp, as well as filter out any retweets or replies respectively. This module can then be added to any page in the OpenCart system including the homepage, category pages, product pages etc.. using the Content Top, Content Bottom, Content Left or Content Right specifications allowing for maximum versatility.
Overall this module utilizes very simple and lightweight code through which it’s elegance is best shown in its simplicity. Very minimal CSS is included in the module Template file allowing for easy manipulation of the display aesthetics to allow for the module to better match any custom templates that may be in use on the storefront.
Requirements
This module was built and tested using OpenCart version 1.5.4.1. While there should be no problem using this module on previous version of OpenCart in the 1.5.x series, we cannot guarantee any other specific combinations of software versions will be compatible. What’s Included
