Image Adaptivezr.NET is a useful class to give your website users a great surfing experience letting them to download only optimized images. It’s very useful for any ASP .NET site, responsive or not, browsed both from a Desktop or a mobile device.
Why? Because it increases the speed of your web pages, that means happier users, better ranking on search engine, therefore more users, more traffic… so: why not??
What does it do? Image Adaptivezr.NET is able to resize on-the-fly the images of your site, serving the lighter image for the current device. This is the most useful library if your site uses responsive design, but it’s anyway perfect for every ASP .NET site.
How does it work? Simple. There’s just one rewrite rule to set, you can manage, for example, any image inside a chosen directory, so any call to an image in that directory will be managed by a generic handler that will call Adaptivezr.NET and will serve the right image for the current device or browser width.
